Some kind gent spotted us in a Tesco superstore and hugged us wishing us well. He wasn't asian! The goodwill we get is pretty amazing.
Two magazines in India "The Week" and "Society" did a feature of us. Why? We aren't the Beckhams. We aren't the fashionable ABC's that companies seek nor the role models that teens should follow. We are just too simple and a right bore. We sit between two stools, two generations. Neither young nor mature enough to fit in mentally in any camp. We appear like twenty somethings and had to impress upon the journalists that we actually are Bobby and Nikki 39 and 38.
Sit with the young and we hate their music and chat. Sit with the old and we feel ill at ease with our emptiness of life skills and our youthful appearance.
There will be another 'lifestyle' magazine appearance of us this winter. Don't get us wrong, we like and enjoy the 'fame' and thank these people very much. But its all so very perplexing (whatever that means!). Who would like to follow and emulate us? It's as if we're caught in a time warp like "Buck Rogers in the 25th Century". BeeDee BeeDee Bee!
