Pretty nasty things coming from the moderator of a surrogacy (india)web forum. Vested interests there as it's run by a competitor to the clinic that we used. (info we've received from somebody). The moderator has now deleted some posts from people who tried to defend us. Cut down we all were.
"Nope they said on their forum they were coming to India to do another round of IVF, but I have
1st hand knowledge since being in India that they came to pick up their very healthy baby! (er, we did went to india for IVF number eight, so no lies there. Honestly)
Maybe it would affect their donations or something so they thought not to mention it on their forum. Sorry, I guess that sounds sarcastic! Maybe its not my
place to out them. (it is)
I just was shocked when I found out as I don't like people who lie in order to benefit themselves. Sad really!
Oh, well, guess that's why I love our support group. No one has anything to hide and we are all carrying and
supportive of one another no matter where we come from, what we have been through or where we are heading. (nice sentiments,
but chastised we and others)
Indeed a very long journey and I truly do wish them all the best.
Sad though, that they had to say they were going for another round of IVF ( we did go for another round of IVF) and
couldn't share in the amazing experience of this blessing they just had and seem to still be very 'beat around the bush' about it? Oh well,
not my place to judge." (opening up and revealing ourselves to the press and
everyone is not sharing?)
Our reply would be.
Well excuse me for not telling the world about our seventh surrogacy attempt! It's not as if I didn't leave clues on my website and hints of our impending pregnancy. Should we shout and boast aloud when we have had more than our share of repeated failures?
We were typing up our book at the time and I guess never thought to update everybody on the surrogate's pregnancy. Even our own family never knew we were collecting our baby until the last month! So there you have it. Nit picking by competitors.
It's what makes the world so fascinating doesn't it?
The moderator also said we 'lied' to him/her. Really? Well sorry if we did. Anyway these remarks were all deleted off their forum. A big thank you to whoever took our cause. The web is fair game, we're here to be shot down after all. Just don't walk about with a swagger or a chip on your shoulder, for a Jedi must remain calm and collective and not tread down the path of the dark side!
I was going to write down some positive comments from the many emails we get but that email went missing too!! Above all, be humorous.
